Project
Dimoco, an international payment company headquartered in Austria, brought me on board in 2023 to oversee and ensure the consistency of its corporate design across all channels. By mid-2024, the company decided to change the corporate culture, including the Corporate Design.
Role
Graphic & Web Design Manager
Phase 1 -Strategy-
01
Following the previous website redesign, it became evident that the company needed a refreshed corporate identity—including a modern logo and design—to enhance visibility and communication in a competitive market.
The project kicked off in mid-2024, with a public reveal scheduled for Christmas 2024, ensuring the new identity would launch at the start of 2025.
Meanwhile, the agency held stakeholder meetings to define the new company culture and initiate the corporate design process. As the sole in-house designer and with tight deadlines, we decided to partner with a design agency to develop the necessary design assets for a new design system.
Through extensive research, we selected a Netherlands-based agency with relevant industry experience. They began the Discovery Phase with stakeholders while I prepared the new website structure.
Website
As part of the strategic planning, we prioritized improving website speed for global users, reducing spam bot activity, and increasing the quality of inbound leads.
The IT department planned to integrate a CRM system into the website to streamline communication and collaboration with the Sales team.
After thorough research within the WordPress community, I recommended adopting Cloudflare to boost site performance, block malicious traffic, and strengthen security. Upon presenting these findings, the team agreed to proceed with Cloudflare.
Print design
Expo materials—including booth designs, roll-ups, and giveaways—also required a refresh. I was responsible for sourcing materials, coordinating with our expo printing partner, and securing a Vienna-based partner for additional print needs.
Phase 2 -Implementation-
02
Design System
Two months before the deadline, I received the new design elements and logo, and began developing the design standards and system. These assets were intended for use across departments in presentations, client manuals, contracts, and more.
Although a new CRM was in development, it was not yet ready for deployment, so I utilized the company’s existing file server to distribute the design system. I created a structured file repository containing all assets and a usage manual.
I also developed templates, such as a PowerPoint template incorporating the new typeface, sizes, and slide layouts, along with redesigned manual templates. Given the complexity of the corporate design, I produced a comprehensive brand guide to ensure clarity and inclusivity.
Website
With the new design elements in hand, I implemented them across the website. The site structure was further refined to highlight the company’s solutions, products, contact page, and an About section featuring news, careers, and a glossary.
The agency provided custom illustrations for solutions and products, which were showcased in a prominent drop-down menu and as page headers. For motion design, we used Lottie animations—particularly for the homepage and call-to-action sections—to enhance the user experience.
Contact forms were initially designed as a three-step process for the main site and a five-step process for the careers page. These forms were subsequently modified, resulting in a different user experience from the original design.
Print and Expo Design
At the start of 2025, DIMOCO debuted its new booth design at an expo. The design system enabled efficient creation of expo and giveaway materials moving forward.
Social media design and video production
Social media assets were updated to reflect the new design, with templates created for easy customization by colleagues.
In 2024, we also produced a webinar video, which was later updated to match the new branding.
Phase 3 -launching and design reveal-
03
The website launched on schedule, with all features tested and designs ready for the first expo.
To celebrate, we organized a design reveal at the company Christmas party, where employees experienced the new identity for the first time. I collaborated with a printing partner to produce posters, roll-ups, and venue graphics, and arranged for logo reveal videos to be screened at the event.
